Medical MalPractice Cost Comparison Terms of Service Effective Date: July 19, 2006 IMPORTANT NOTICE Please read before continuing Arkansas Insurance Department Rule 23 requires insurance companies to provide a premium comparison survey that shows the premiums charged for representative types of consumers with sample coverage for medical malpractice insurance. The Insurance Department provides this information to consumers upon request and on our website. For ease in use, this information is contained in a data base which you can search. Each insurance company is required to provide its premiums for a representative sample of varying rated risk characteristics. The specific characteristics of each medical could result in a myriad of potential combinations of factors; therefore, it is impossible to provide an exact comparison for each possible situation. We have provided examples of several different factors and suggest, for comparison purposes, that you select the factors that most closely match your situation. The data base is not intended to provide a specific quote to you on a specific policy with a specific insurer. The data base only enables you to compare the premiums charged by the various companies for similar examples. We have also provided links to the insurers' websites to assist you in locating an agent who is authorized to write insurance for the various companies. You should always contact a licensed insurance agent to receive an exact quote for your specific situation.
