The Legal Division represents AID, participating in numerous investigations, market conduct examinations, drafting legislation, rules, bulletins, directives, legal opinions, and investigating consumer complaints.
Product Compliance
The Product Compliance Division is responsible for reviewing rate and form filing activities of all licensed insurance companies admitted to do business in Arkansas.
Solvency & Corporate Regulation
The primary goal of the Solvency and Corporate Regulation Division is to protect insurance consumers through effective solvency regulation.
Licensing
The Licensing Division is responsible for the licensing of resident and nonresident producers, adjusters, title agents, and business entities that are soliciting, selling, or negotiating insurance in the State of Arkansas.
Accounting Division
The Accounting Division oversees all aspects of funding within the Department, including the collection of fees and premium taxes, purchasing and accounts payable, as well as the development of budgets.
Liquidation
The Liquidation Division manages the day-to-day affairs of the insolvent insurance company estates and pre-paid funeral benefit trusts. This Division acts on behalf of the Arkansas Insurance Commissioner, who is the official Receiver.
Rate Review
The Health Insurance Rate Review Division (HIRRD) was created in 2010 for the purpose of protecting consumers and employers from unreasonable health insurance premium rate increases.
Regulatory Health
The Regulatory Health Link Division (RHLD) was established to ensure regulation with federal health programs including the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.
Funeral Services Division
The Funeral Services Division of the Arkansas Insurance Department is responsible for providing regulatory oversight over the funeral services industry in the state of Arkansas.
